Nelson Mandela – the President of South Africa who served from 1994-1999 and was the first South Africa President to be elected in a fully representative democratic election.

I was not pretty sure about the biography of this great man until I have the opportunity to watch the movie Invictus. It was indeed a great movie telling the story of how Nelson Mandela together with the Ruby National Team of South Africa united the country by winning the Ruby World Cup back in 1995.

The film was directed by Clint Eastwood, the film stars Morgan Freeman as South African President Nelson Mandela and Matt Damon as François Pienaar, the captain of the Springboks, the South African rugby union team.

In the movie, Morgan Freeman played the visionary, wise and humble President of South Africa, he did all he could to unite the nation and to reduce the race tension which has been existed for the past 50years.

I personally like the movie a lot, it bring great inspiration on being a great leader. As a leader you need to have great belief, believe that you could achieve the impossible dream and by doing what ever it take to make that dream reality. In the movie, it also reflected that how humble as a president of a nation can be, he always give compliments and respect to his fellow colleagues, cheers everyone in lighting up their day and motivated the Ruby team by remember all their name. This is true leadership ability!!
